Bastion Press, Inc., a developer of innovative intellectual properties and roleplaying games, announced today the formation of its Board of Directors. Cathleen Adkison and Ryan Dancey join the board along with Jim Butler, President & CEO of Bastion Press, Inc.

“I’m ecstatic to have two such noteworthy people sit on the Bastion Press board,” stated Jim Butler. “I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with both Cathy and Ryan, using their experience to take Bastion Press forward in this exciting marketplace.”

Cathleen S. Adkison was a Founder, Chairman of the Board, and served in a number of executive capacities at Wizards of the Coast, Inc., including VP of Sales and Marketing, Events, Public Relations, Production, and Human Resources. Currently, Ms. Adkison is a director on the board of Eleventh Hour Productions, a non-profit company in Seattle that specializes in the promotion of poetry events. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Tracker Business Systems, Inc., a medical technical company in the Tri-Cities area of Washington and is currently serving as the interim CEO of that company.

During the early 1990s, Cathleen served as a Continuous Quality Improvement Analyst for Boeing. In 1998 and 1999, Cathleen finished the University of Washington's Poetry, Advanced Poetry, Fiction and Advanced fiction programs. Also in 1998, Cathleen finished the University of Washington's Executive Management Program.

Ryan Dancey is the former Vice President for tabletop RPGs and the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS(r) brand manager at Hasbro's Wizards of the Coast division. Prior to co-founding Five Rings Publishing Group, he wrote and developed the DigiFiche enterprise data processing system at ISOMEDIA.

In his position as a Wizards of the Coast Vice President, Ryan was responsible for reviving the failed business of the former TSR, Inc, overseeing a global business management team which generated annual revenues in excess of $50 million. He was the executive responsible for the successful re-launch of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, including placing the Player's Handbook as the 3rd best selling item on Amazon.com during August 2000. Jim Butler has edited and designed a number of D&D game products, as well as serving as Brand Manager for the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS worlds for Wizards of the Coast. While at Wizards of the Coast, he worked on the relaunch of the 3rd Edition D&D game as well as the relaunch of the FORGOTTEN REALMS(r) campaign setting.
