Bastion Press Sales & Marketing Changes
(Seattle, Washington; May 8th, 2003): Effective May
12th, Bastion Press will handle sales and marketing of all of
its titles to the hobby trade. Osseum Entertainment will continue to
handle all sales, marketing, and fulfillment to the book trade. The
decision was part of Bastion Press’ long-term business plan, and both
Bastion Press and Osseum Entertainment will continue to work closely
together on upcoming releases.
“Taking over the sales and marketing efforts was always part of our
game plan,” said Jim Butler, President & CEO of Bastion Press. “When we
started, Bastion really needed the services and expertise of Osseum as we
focused solely on crafting game products and novels. Now that we’ve
created a sustainable backlist of best-selling products, it makes sense
for us to deal directly with all the distributors.”
Osseum will sell initial orders of Friends & Familiars,
Oathbound®: Wrack & Ruin, and the Oathbound:
Forged novel (our May releases). Bastion Press will begin direct
solicitations for Into the Green, Torn Asunder: Critical Hits, and
Oathbound: Arena. Restocks on all titles will be
handled directly through Bastion Press.
All major distributors have already set up accounts with Bastion Press
so there will be no interruption of service to retail accounts. Any
distributor wishing to sell Bastion Press products should contact Jim
Butler at
jim@bastionpress.com to set up an account.
Steve Creech is now the Director of Media & Marketing Relations
for Bastion Press. Steve will be overseeing all matters pertaining to
advertising, customer service, retailer relations, playtest coordination,
product review assignment and other necessary public relations or
marketing duties for Bastion Press. Steve may be contacted at
