Forged Wins Pen & Paper Awards

For immediate release:

April 7, 2004 (Seattle, WA) - Bastion Press is very happy to announce that the Oathbound novel, Forged, has won the Pen & Paper Fan Award for Best RPG-Related Novel/Anthology. The novel was chosen over other acclaimed books such as The Lone Drow (R.A. Salvatore) and The Book of Final Flesh (edited by James Lowder, All Flesh Must be Eaten).

Forged is written by New York Times best-selling author Thomas M. Reid and is the first novel for the Oathbound campaign setting. Forged unveils a tableau of the domains of the Forge that is rich as well as vast. Discover this unique setting and its enigmatic inhabitants through the eyes of a traveler struggling to find both himself and his way home
- and being forever changed by it.

"I'm truly delighted with this award; it's indeed an honor to have Forged recognized in such a manner," said Thomas Reid, author of Forged.
"I have to say, though, that much of the credit must go to Jim Butler and Oathbound team for crafting such a rich, imaginative world. It has been so much fun exploring the Domains of the Forge in my own writings."
